The
Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky will offer a free webinar, "Impacts of Implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Kentucky," from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 27.
Participants will have a chance to listen in and ask questions as the team from the
University of Minnesota State Health Access Data Center presents findings from their multi-year study of the impact of Kentucky's implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
During the project, which was funded by the foundation, researchers monitored pre- and post-ACA trends in five domains: health insurance coverage, access, costs, quality and health outcomes. These findings are reflected in the study's
final report.
The webinar is the next in the foundation's training series, "Health for a Change," meant to prepare non-profit leaders across the state for the work of advancing important health issues. The free training series combines in-person workshops with webinars, which participants can join remotely from their computers.
